Default Looking for t-shooting tips and help

I’m New here. I have a 97 5.7L Silverado. About 7 months ago had a crank/no start problem. Replaced timing chain/gears (extremely worn), distributor (cracked body), fuel pump and sending unit, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, iac, tps, maf, Knock, cmp, ckp...(All sensors on the engine were replaced). Afterreplacing just about everything, found that the new CMP sensor was bad and replaced it again. That solved the issue finally. Everything was good until about a month ago. I started having acceleration issues where the trans felt like it was “flaring” when moving to a passing gear. Would rev really high and then finally change gears once I took my foot out of the accelerator. It progressively got worse until I now have another crank/no start issue. Three days ago it quit and would not start again. I found a bad coil/replaced it, bad maf/replaced it. Found the fuel pump had gone bad (0 pressure)/replaced. Checked compression—was at 150 -156 on all cylinders. Fuel pressure now at 59+. Spark is orange but solid. Still wouldn’t start. Volt was good at cmp but Replaced the cmp just to be sure. No go. Replaced the ckp...no go. Finally got it to start when I held the throttle open about 10 degrees while cranking, but it runs ROUGH. Tried adjusting the timing (previous to this was at 0 degrees with my scanner) and found it was at -44. The distributor is at its limit of turn so can’t adjust Any farther that way (ccw). Any movement to the cw direction and the engine dies. Is it possible my new timing chain jumped? Any other suggestions of things to check? Thanks in advance for the help.

also forgot to mention—replaced the upper and lower intake gaskets, and the original spider injector with the new updated version. Currently at 179k miles.
