My old 258 I-6 would run low at idle, at about 10 PSI, but it was normal with a Jeep CJ-5's. It'd do 40 PSI hot at 2000 RPM. My old 98' K-1500 Chevy runs about 35 PSI hot idle and 45-48 PSI at 1500-2000 RPM's hot. She's been a real gem of a Chevy GMT-400 Pickup truck..I had no idea the newer GMT-800's ran lower oil pressures. Is that for gas mileage?
