My 97 Chevy shifts a little rough going from 1st to 2nd gear (read description)
Hello, this is my first post but long time reader. I have a 97 Chevy K1500 5.7L with a 4L60E. I put in a brand new engine in 2020 and a brand new transmission in 2022 and a lot minor things, my truck overall runs really good but I'm not 100% happy with it. The only issue I have is when it’s shifting from 1st to 2nd gear it will hold a little long and be a little rough, after that it shifts really smooth. I’ve been looking into getting the HyperTech Max Energy Programmer to not only get more performance but to hopefully smooth out the shifting. Im not too technical and don’t really know what shift points I should change it too or even change at all. I ordered the programmer to get the performance and to change my speedometer to account for my 35” tires, I’m going to leave the transmission timing and shift firmness alone until I get some options or insight. If anyone can help me out here it would be greatly appreciated. Thank y’all!
