Default Oil Sensor?

I have a 1988 Chevy 2500K 4x4 3/4 ton pickup with 5.7 L 350 V8. I got the thermostat replaced at a local garage and a mechanic noticed oil leaking and said it was an oil sensor under the engine but we aren’t sure which part it is on the NAPA site so I can pick it up at my local NAPA store. Anyone know which part that is most likely to be on the site?

There’s a sensor for the gauge and/or a switch for the oil pressure warning light. Your truck may have one or both.

Typically the gauge sensor is mounted near the oil filter and the switch is mounted on the driver side of the block, just above the oil pan.

Do you know which one you need?
