hi.im new to the forum i have a 89 chevy 1500 that i recently replaced the steering shaft the a new borgeson unit and decided to change the bearings now that i was at it.but i have a question when i took it the steering shaft off i had no problem the part that connected on the main shaft came off easy and the main shaft was firm in its place the problem is when i tried removing the bearing it started to pull out not easy but when i pulled on the bearing it wanted to slide out with it.my question is is that normal for the main shaft to be able to move like that?i know the intermidiate shaft is telescoping but all the videos i see of it being replaced show the main shaft it bolts on to stays firm.no one here local can give me an answer im hopping someone here can.thanks.
