Can someone tell me where I can find the OEM rubber body bushings? I only need the rubber bushing; all my hardware is still in good shape.
Thanks
I found several sets of subframe bushings and body mount bushings over on carparts.com - they had a set by Dorman, and another by "Energy Suspension". I found several sets over on RockAuto.com as well, for less. This one looks like it will work:

This is a really cool tribute project, you should put it on YouTube (maybe it is and I missed the post). Weirdly, this is also my EXACT truck (color, ext. cab, long bed, 5.7, even the same wheels) so it hurts a little to look at the wreck pictures. It's awesome you're starting from the frame, too. Very impressive.

thanks Jake. This truck is more special to me than any other vehicle I’ve ever owned. I was with dad when he ordered it new and when he picked it up. He and I shared a lot of good conversations while riding in this truck. Every time I look at it, I see him and that’s very heartwarming to my soul.
Hey guys. It has been a while since I have posted an updates. I wish I could say my health was better but between my severe arthritis in my knees, plantar facetious in my feet and a bad back, I can only work on the truck as my body permits. So, over the last few months, this is how far I have come and I must say, I am very happy with where I am right here before the weather turns colder. As you can see, I am working under a carport so when it gets too cold, I will not be doing too much to it.
I ordered a new distributor cap & rotor so when they arrive, I will install them and then set the cab on the frame. I also bought all new OEM style cab bushings from LMC. All the suspension & steering components are also new so I am hoping this truck will ride almost like when it was new. It is not a show truck so painting/detailing every piece is not practical for me since it will be semi weekly driver. Outside of repainting the front clip to match, I will probably change the wheels/tires but that will be about all I will do to it. Living in East Texas, I will also be rebuilding the entire AC system since everything is much easier to access at this point. I am so grateful to be over the hump with this project. Now if I can just get all the electrical plugs all routed and plugged back in correctly, I will be VERY happy, LOL.
On a side note, the guy I got the replacement frame from said it was a 96/97, WRONG. Turns out it is a 89. How did I find this out? Well the idler arm for a 97 does not work for this 89 frame. Also, all the exhaust hangars on this 89 frame do not work with my 97 exhaust. No big deal, just added a little more work but I have already swapped those items over so it's all good.
