Default Question for taillights

Hello from Germany.
I would like to know if any of you have ever installed the taillights from a 2001 silverado to a GMT400 silverado.
I have a 1988 silverado and I would like yellow turn signals.
can someone help me?
thank you very much.
regards
jens

The body is a different shape, I don’t believe it would fit. At least that’s how the ones in the US are.

Maybe, you could check the aftermarket, but I don’t think so because on those trucks, as far as I know the brake light circuit and turn signal circuit are shared, so you may have to do rewiring if you really wanted to have separate turn signals.

many thanks again.
I have already separated the turn signal and the brake light.
I made it on the brake light switch.
the left and right turn signals are now in the reversing lights.
and the new reversing light is separately.

Interesting, maybe you can just put amber bulbs where your reverse lights used to go, and install new reverse lights somewhere else, like under the bumper.
