First thread so bare with me. Lol. Ive got a 1991 ckevy k1500. 5.7 with unknown miles.
Looking to do a mild build on another block. I have the block and a set of vortec heads to go with it. Just trying to get some advice on what i will need to achieve 400 to 450hp. I can fix about anything on the truck but have never really been inside a motor or tranny. Ive seen buddys do stuff but dont know specifics. I do have basic knowledge tho if that makes sense. Advice on what route would be great. Dont wanna put a ton of money in it. Want some good power for the money. Gonna start from bare block. Will have it bored .030 over.
