Default Stalling engine

I've got a 1994 Chevy K1500 and I could be driving and after a bit it will just instantly die but after I let it sit for about a day she will start right back up but dies after she runs for a bit. I've replaced the coil pack, the fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs and after replacing all that it still dies. I was hoping someone could possibly help me here.

If you want to keep throwing parts at it, change the ICM in the distributer

when I go to start the truck it starts right up but then dies after an hour or 2. would that cause it to die then start back up after it sat?

You really need to have it fail to start, and then diagnose whether you are getting spark or fuel to the engine at that point. The ICM (Ignition module) at the base of the distributor could certainly result in no spark.

If you can get access or find a ODB-I (not ODB2) reader, that could probably tell you a lot more. I don't think GM used ODB2 until the 1996 model year. In fact, I came across this article that might let you read any stored codes on your vehicle without a tool:

The ICM commonly fails when hot, then works again when cooled down - as do many electrical components. If you change it make sure you use generous application of heat sink paste
