Default Truck Not Starting - See Description

Hi. So, I recently bought a 1996 Chevy k1500 5.7l v8 in January. At the time it was running marginally but had some issues. I managed to fix most of the issues but then it stopped running. Now it won't start. I have to hold the gas pedal to the floor and even then when I crank it it will only sputter and die.

Here is a list of all the things I have replaced: Gas tank, fuel pump, fuel lines, spark plugs, ignition coil, crankshaft position sensor, fuel injector assembly with fuel injectors, and muffler. It appears to be running really rich when I can get it started, but now I can't even get it started.

If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You've sure thrown a lot of parts at the problem. Did you ever hook a code reader to it before all this started, and pull the codes from the computer? That might give you a clue what is going on.

I've got a 1996 C1500 with the 5.0L v8 here, and mine is throwing O2 sensor and both large and small vacuum leak codes. But it starts and runs like a champ. One thing to be aware of though is disconnecting the battery for any length of time clears the codes, and they probably won't set again unless you get it running. Still... something to check.

How about plug wires, distributor cap, rotor and ICM; that should complete your parts llist.

I did read the codes before the problems started but I haven't read them in a while. I will definately do that. Thanks!
