Default Truck starting issues

Have a chevy 99-2500- Truck has been starting like a champ- The other day I went to work, that AM the truck started fine as usual-

I did stop to get fuel from a dive of a gas station that afternoon-

The next morning the truck started, but had an unusual hesitation while turning over- Stopped at the store (no gas just misc. stuff) and the truck cranked like a champ-

Worked all day, and when I went to crank up, it did the same hesitant pause while the key was turned, then poofed into running ok-

Driveing is fine, sounds the same, idles fine- This morning I get up to goto work, the truck absolutely will not start. While turning the key its not a smooth cranking, but smooth to pause, smooth to pause, smooth to pause type cranking- It almost poofed into running a few times; but then back to the hesitant cranking routine-

If I put the pedal to the floor while cranking, the hesitant pauses clear up and it just cranks smoothly but won't start to run-

when I turn key on i get the whine of the fuel pump (its brand new) Ive tried changing relays out, still nothing. I let sit for an hour, went and tried, it actually tried to run, but went back to the crappy pause and crank deal-

Any Ideas? Is it possible to get such horrible gas that the truck wont crank and run?

Kinda sounds like water in the fuel. Water does not compress so the hesitation in the cranking cycle. I would change the fuel filter and put some dri-gas in the tank and see if that helps. and yes it is possible to get that crappy of a load of gas. I would try to find out if any of the other gas customers had problems.

Apparently that was the problem, I eventually got it to crank, it was below a quarter tank with that gas anyway, so took it to more cleaner gas station and filled up- hasn't had start problem since.
