Default Trying to remove shift rod.

94 Cheyenne automatc 4x4
This is my first post, I hope it's in the right place.

This is on the engine side and connects to the floor shifter that moves from 4Hi-2Hi-4Lo

This shift rod that connects to drivers side of the transmission broke on the back side. I can't find any instructions for removing the front side so that I can take it in and find an appropriate replacement.

This is the side that broke off from the plate coming from the transmission.

I'm not sure if it should be bent or straight. Wondering what could have bent it.

Those rod ends snap into a plastic bushing. Just pry it out with a large screw driver/crow bar.

Pretty sure the rod shouldn't be bent. It may have came loose on the transfer case and fell onto the moving drive shaft.
