Default Unable to Bleed Brakes

Hello All,

New to this forum but I have an issue that I am unable to solve and maybe someone in here has experienced my issue.
I had to replace a caliper today on the front passenger side of my vehicle but after 4 hours of trying to get the brakes bled I cannot get it to do so. All other brakes work as intended. The vehicle does have ABS.

Vehicle Info
1998 Chevy Cheyenne C3500HD V8 7.4L

If anyone can provide some assistance on the matter, I would appreciate it and if you need any more detail, please feel free to ask as I'm sure I am forgetting something.

Can you elaborate? What exactly do you mean by "unable"? What happens when you try?

Sure, I may get 1-3 drops of brake fluid come out of the plug on the caliper, each "pump pump pump down" sequence of the brake pedal. The caliper does not squeeze down on the rotor at all, which spins freely during the whole process.

Good Evening,

Before proceeding to anything further, I changed the brake hose and the brakes bled quickly. The old hose was plugged at the crimp which is not very common but does happen. Appreciate your assistance 🙏
