I just bought a 1988 chevy truck, but the owner didn’t know the specifics of what kind of truck I have. here’s what I know: I believe it’s a 5.7 L v8 engine, just from the sticker on the engine and the previous owner said it has 8 cylinders. on one of the doors it says silverado, but the driver door with the sticker of information has mostly peeled off. I have the title (make model and body style pictured below) but I don’t really know what that means specifically. I know that it’s 2 wheel drive. I mostly want to know if it’s a 1500 or 2500, I don’t know much about these things but I need the exact model for auto insurance. thanks, bode
Yep, 5 lug means 1/2 ton/1500, RWD means "C" series. If was 4x4 would be a "K" series. The engine sticker on the fan shroud answers the engine question.
