Default Wiper Motor and Pump

Hey everyone, I have a 1991 chevy 1500 and I need the wipers to work in order to pass inspection. Pretty much nothing in this truck is stock, even the wiring has been messed with. I didn’t think the old wiper motor worked because when I tried turning the wipers or the washer fluid pump on nothing worked or even made a noise. So I replaced it, and now when I turn the truck on the pump stays on and the wipers don’t work at all. I know it sounds confusing but any help would be greatly appreciated, I just want to drive her lol

It could be that the wiper switch is bad or in the case of a tilt column the wiring may be broken in the column.

I agree with @Little Bear , check that switch, and maybe do some poking around with a multi meter.
