I was told a pump usually goes bad or it doesn't, and no in-between. But I will check the pressure if I can find a gauge to see if that's the culprit. Hopefully a friend will help me check the computer tomorrow with data logging.
Does the computer need time to "find itself" after installing a sensor if the previous was bad?
For 3 winters it has cold started and gone to a high idle like normal running perfectly, then 3-4 seconds later it has dropped to 300 rpms and chugs. Sometimes dieing. I wasn't sure if this was a computer fault or tps. Maybe it is a weak fuel pump

I had this same problem. It was an intake gasket leak that only affected cold weather starting. When warm everything would expand and run great. These trucks are notorious for intake gasket leaks from the factory. I changed mine winter of 2017 and it’s ran perfect since.

I'm here for the party
thought the intake leak would through a lean code but idk if thats a guarantee or not. i would think it was a sensor, even a new one could be bad out of the box. if you have a code scanner that would be a good thing to check the TPS with
