03 4.3 p0016 New distributor, New CPS, still have code, Timing belt?
So as the title states. I have a 2003 Chevy 1500 4.3 with a new camshaft sensor (with new distributor) and new crankshaft sensor but still have the p0016 which is for camshaft and crankshaft waves not playing nicely together. There is a p0122 TPS sensor code as well. But that's just because I don't believe I have the right TPS on there. The one on there is from a junkyard motor that I dropped in. I'll swap it back soon. No other codes present
The distributor is timed correctly and is not a tooth off. It is brand new so there is no wear on the worm gear.
Symptoms are slow starting (like 30 minutes trying to start it this morning...), trying to die after starting, and drop in power varying from multiple times a second to once every few seconds. It will idle albeit roughly after running for 2-3 minutes.
All that's left is timing chain and tensioner, right?

Did you perform (or paid to have done) a CASE relearn procedure so that the crankshaft position sensor and the camshaft position sensor are "aligned"? Whenever the crankshaft position sensor is disturbed or replaced, a Crankshaft Position variation learn procedure (more commonly called a CASE relearn) MUST be performed.
