Default 05 5.3 idle and oil pressure

My 05 5.3 has 102k miles. It was my grandfather’s and was kept well care of. It runs fine think but at red lights I notice a random rough idle for a split second and notice the rpm drop just a hair and it’s back to normal. I know I have been told to check the EAF, MAS, and try cleaning the throttle body butterfly valve. Any thoughts?

Also, my oil pressure seems to run pretty normal at 40 when at a cruising speed but can pick up to about 65 max when gaining rapid speed on freeway or drop to 25 at a red light. Is this normal?

I am new to maintaining my own vehicle and trying to learn what is normal and what to watch out for. Any advice helps. Thanks.

Cant tell you for sure, since the oil pump you have on your mill and mine are not the same. I wouldn't worry about it at 25 to 65 PSI and nothing is making any noise. I start out at 55-58 PSI cold with the motor at idle at almost 40 PSI hot idle. She'll run at 40-45 PSI depending on my RPM's, and outside temperatures. I've got the NV-3500 stick, and she still shifts as smooth as silk. I'd use a synthetic motor oil at the same viscosity that Chevy calls for.
