'05 Silverado 4wd front grinding noise
Good day folks. First thread here.
Whenever I am driving below 40mph, I get a loud ugly grinding sound from the front end. The noise goes away if I accelerate over 45mph. The sound is present in 2wd as well. I've replaced front wheel hubs, and while doing so, I inspected rotors and brakes. Everything checks out. Test drove vehicle, and the sound is still present. I've also inspected the front drive shaft after watching a few other videos with similar noises, but the drive shaft I have doesn't have the plastic collar like the ones in the videos. I'm coming to the conclusion that it may be the front differential.
Any insight would be great! Thank you for your time 🐻🤘🏼
