2000 Chevy 1500 misfire
So I have done just about everything I can think of checked fuses, replaced coils, plug wires, plugs, and it’s still misfiring on cylinders 3-7-4-8 I’m clueless about what to do now. I talked to a guy and he said maybe lifters or cam but the motor has no noise whatsoever any help would be appreciated.
First, a couple of questions.
Which engine is in your truck?
What brand ignition coils did you install?
What brand and part number of spark plugs did you install?
What are all the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) that are present?
Without knowing more, I would suggest looking over the ignition coils wiring harness and the fuel injectors wiring harness and look for something like a broken ground wire. Something that is common among those 4 cylinders.
What is interesting is that the the cylinders are across from one another and not on the same bank.
Good Luck!
