Bought a rusty chitbox truck, 2000 k2500 5.7l for cheap a while ago and finally decided to give it a go to get it going. On the lower aluminum intake manifold I noticed that the aluminum had corroded away around the one mounting hole. (see pic) My son picked one up at a local yard and I noticed that at the same spot there was a cut slot to the same
hole and the hole was a bit smaller in size than the other 7. Anyone know why or what about this? Looks done on purpose and I never saw one with a cut slot there. Must be missing something and I can't find any info on it.
