My husband has me on a quest to find out if there is a tool that will allow a person to drill into the intake manifold and keep the debris from falling into the ... wherever it would fall into, I think the manifold?

If he can't drill into the manifold, I think that he'll have to take the engine apart to do what he needs to do.

i would take the manifold off just to be safe

 

take it off it's not worth the chance of ruining the engine .
