I recently purchased a 2000 Silverado 5.3L and every now and again when I shift into Drive, it shows it’s in Neutral on the display but in Drive in transmission. Also if I shift from D to P and then back to D it will not fully engauge, almost like it’s still in Neutral and if I give it gas then it slams into gear pretty hard. It doesn’t happen all the time but enough to where I’d like to try and get it fixed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
