My truck started slipping in drive and I would have to manual shift from the lowest up to drive at around 55 mph.
Now it's really slipping even in low and once it gets going it works ok unless I try to give it to much gas.
So I'm guessing I need to swap it out or rebuild the 4L60E.
I'm not a real mechanic but being alone out on the desert in the bottom of Utah I don't have a shop but can do whatever I will have to. It's 60 miles round trip to get a soda pop for me.

 

Transmission swap is hard - at least for me. I can do them but you're in awkward positions under the truck.
