2001 Silverado driveshaft
Evening,
I have a 2001 Silverado LS Extended cab 4wd with the 5.3
Drive shaft decided to yeet itself onto the highway a while back got out of balance and I didn't catch it right away.
Anyway I'm trying find a replacement and I'm having some difficulty. I measure 68 1/8" from center to center of the caps and ~7 3/4" end of spline to center of cap on the slip yoke and counted 31 splines with a missing space.
I have found a 68 1/4" shaft but nothing close on the slip yoke. This is a large aluminum driveshaft.
Can I go with a steel and narrower shaft with no problems?
