I just bought a 2000 Silverado 1500 from a family member. Very low miles, but is a total rust bucket. Truck has all new brake lines. When the brakes are applied, they seem to work well enough until just before you stop. At that point, it makes a sound like when anti lock brakes are activated, and the brake pedal bounces up & down some at the same time. Because of the sound I feel that it must have something to do with the anti lock feature. I have never worked on anti lock brakes so I thought I'd check here for hints or tips on what it might be, and where to start.
