I have a 2004 z71. When you lock it in 4wd you can hear the transfer case sound like it locks in but the front wheels do not pull and the indicator light on the switch inside the truck says it's in 4wd and idea what could be the issue with the front wheels not pulling? Any idea/help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Check your front actuator. The one attached to your front differential is what locks in the front. You can pull it out, let it hang by the plug and swith between 4 and 2 wheel. If it does not extend and
retract when you swith between 2 and 4 wheel then you found your problem.
