Default Automatic to manual conversion

Anybody out there swapped from a 4l60e to nv3500? What am I getting myself into? Will I have to modify my driveline? Will I have to tune my ecu or buy any sort of adapter or sensor? I want to do it right, I have a 2003 extended cab with a 4800 vortec with the split bench seat, also debating on going to bucket seats with a console, in which case I'd have to make minor adjustments under the console and fabricate the stick. Just curious as to how big of a job this really is....?

I'm not sure if it applies to all years, but I heard the manual and automatic models have different engine crankshafts.

You would have to replace/reprogram ECM/PCM/TCMs.

Yes, the driveshaft length will change. Maybe even transmission mounts.

It's definitely more of a "project" than a drop-in replacement.
