first off I just want to thank you greatly for your advice. You have been a huge help in this.

the MAF just got cleaned with MAF spray cleaner and air dried I didn’t wipe it or anything because I know they’re sensitive

Ok on the fuel pump unfortunately previous owner cut a hole in the bed above the fuel pump so I have easy access to it as if it was so hard to drop the tank 😒.

I believe it’s denso wires and Bosch plugs we have a tiny parts store that really only Carries car parts and minimal truck but I threw the Bosch plugs in anyways. I do have some ac delco plugs in my Amazon cart but keep forgetting to order them but I will do so this week

OK on only cleaning the MAF sensor - that is OK, Denso plug wire set should be fine. Get rid of the Bosch plugs and stay away from ACDelco plugs from Amazon or ebay - too many are counterfeit. Get the ACDelco 41-962 plugs from rockauto.com. I understand about a small town auto parts store - been in that situation a couple of times.

OK on the previous owner cutting a hole in the bed to replace the fuel pump. At least you won;t have to pump out a lot of gas to decrease the weight of the tank in order to drop it!

Good Luck!

I wish they'd make access to the fuel pump easier for all vehicles, but I know that it would have to be standard to keep costs down, and hey, someone like an auto-tech needs to keep the money rolling in, and it would be too costly for the manufactures of automobiles to do any of that as they too need to make money. It could also be a safety hazard if the vehicle rolled in an accident. Yeap, get the gasoline out , jack it up and remove the straps off and you are good to go. They are easy to change on a rig since the tank is right there outside the tractor.
