bogging in 4th gear
hey everyone, new to the forum. i have a 2000 1500 4x4 with the 5.3l v8 automatic. ive done alot of work to this truck, it barley ran when i got it.
so ill be driving normally, our average speed limit where i live is 55mph, the truck will shift fine all the way up to 4th gear. thats when the rpms drop and itll start bogging out, it will sound chunky, best way i can put it lol. but sometimes it operates as it should. sometimes itll be bogging down then jump to the appropriate rpms. it also struggles to get started sometimes.
my first thought is the kickdown cable. someone told me the TV cable could be the issue. im not too familiar with it but i feel like theyre the same thing. the truck has a new fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, intake manifold gaskets (upper and lower) , throttle positioning sensor, erg valve, plugs and wires, battery, MAF sensor, MAP sensor, and air filter. also recent oil change with new filter. ive cleaned the injectors and throttle body. cylinder 2 has a new coil pack but still reads a missfire on cylinder 2.
it still needs new O2 sensors, and an evap solenoid canister or valve, whatever is next to the fuel tank, i heard its not too important. my buddy said try seafoam.
anyways thanks in advance for any and all advice, im stumped with this one.

no tv or kickdown cable used for electronic trans
clogged cat?...since you need to change the 02 anyways....remove the front 2 from the exhaust pipe and test drive...it will be loud as the muffler will be bypassed but does it drive normal
how is the fuel filter? does the fuel trim go lean during a hard acceleration

oh okay. and the cats are already gone. they were clogged up, so i just cut them out, no muffler. just straight piped.the fuel filter is new. and it when i hit the gas to say, go up a steep hill, itll just bog out until i press harder and it shifts down to third finally.
