I have a 2000 C1500 that has me baffled. I just put in a new steering column as the wires from the old one were burnt out. I plugged everything in, and when I turn on the ignition, the brake lights go on. The 3rd brake light doesn't light up though. Signals work, but can't figure out the brake light system. Anyone else have a similar problem? I read somewhere that a bad ground can do this. There's only about 100 of them to check. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

 

Welcome from Florida. Check your wiring harness that plugs into the steering column. There may be some damaged wires in there.
