A/C cycles through all modes then sticks on defrost.
2004 Silverado 1500 2wd.
I just got my transmission rebuilt and replaced the battery but when I start the truck, the AC blows out of the floor vents for about 5 seconds, then the front vents for 5 seconds and then it comes out of the defrost vents but it stays there. I’ve replaced the mode door actuator and even tried the AC control module but it’s still having the same issue. Any ideas what could be causing it?

Defrost is the default setting when there's insufficient vacuum.
So you could could have a cracked/leaky hose or vacuum tank, checkvalve that has gone bad, etc.
You should probably post what you're driving.
