CKP sensor has no bolt threads??

CKP sensor has no bolt threads??
(2005 Silverado 4.3 v6) I noticed my CKP was zip-tied and no bolt in it from the previous owner. Anybody have any idea why there wasn’t bolt threads in the spot my CKP sensor mount should go? This can’t be factory right? Just waiting for the green light to tap new threads unless it needs something else besides a bolt.
