2000 K3500 LS
The dash brake light came on.
Brakes work fine.
Disconnected the parking brake switch, but the light is still on.
ABS light NOT on.
Anyone have a diagram for this????

 

Brake Fluid level maybe?

 

Fluid is fine, but I'll check the sensor.
I think it might be the proportional valve.
Don't see any leaks.
I'll try and reset it, bleed it, and see if it goes out.

 

The ABS module can also turn on the red brake light. It’s on a separate control circuit so it’s possible for the module to turn on the red light and not the yellow ABS light.

A quick test is to unplug the module and turn the key on - if the light is out after a few seconds, the module is malfunctioning.

The same can be done for the pressure differential switch - no bleeding necessary.
