Bypassing or deleting the Passlock system is very difficult. I’ve tried researching if it can be done with programming and/or tuners but there’s no definitive answer.

The problem is that the ECM must receive the proper anti-theft signal to enable fuel delivery and this is done via the class 2 data network - the signal is buried among all the other messages from the ABS and any other modules on the network.

It’s possible to disable the system for the purposes of installing a remote start; however it still requires the Passlock module be in good working order so it can communicate with the ECM. If the module is malfunctioning, the procedure won’t work.

First try performing the relearn procedure - make sure all accessories are off and the battery is fully charged as it can take up to 30 minutes to complete. I’d also recommend disconnecting the battery for an hour prior to attempting the relearn to clear any DTC’s that may prevent the relearn from being successful.
