I replaced my door pins on drivers door works great now but now my dash says drivers door ajar when its closed good any ideas of what I could look for I dont see any door button so what should I try ..

 

I thought gmt 800 used door ajar switches in the lock actuators....what year truck is this?

 

2005 Silverado 2500HD crewcab

 

not sure if an open wire will indicate a open door input to the bcm; if it does, you may have a broken wire in the loom for the door jam. find the door ajar wire and grd it...and see if the message changes.





it is also possible the latch and door striker adjustment is out.

 

ok do you know the color wire that controls this and I will do that ground it I think you found my issue and thank you I really appreciate and very thankful when others like yourself and willing to help people thanks again for steering me in the right direction if you could let me know the color wire that would be great thanks again ..Eric
