2005 Chevy Sliverado 1500. Driver's door ajar warning with cab lights on. Pulled the panel and inspected all of the wiring I could see. Could not find anything that looked bad. There are wires (top and bottom plugs) at the latch. Is that the source of the signal? I am at a loss here as I cannot find a replacement for that latch (assuming the sensor is built in there).
