Default Door hinge pin bushing nightmare

2000 Chevy C2500 crew cab, it's an OBS. Hinge pin bushings are shot so I order pins and bushings, I've done this often enough that I bought the tools to make it easy. I knock the pins out, knock out the old bushings which were just about gone and go to install the new bushings and there is no way they are going to fit as they are way oversized. Everywhere I've looked I can only find one size of pins/bushings for 88-00 C/K trucks, anybody know where I can get the proper size? I was able to drill the top hinge to fit the new bushings but there is no way I will be able to drill out the lower hinge so I need the right sized bushings.

Measure the old bushings or the hole in the hinge so that you know what size is needed. Then check online or at the auto parts store for the correct size. You might be able to drill the lower hole in the hinge by getting a longer drill bit and going through the top hole to drill the bottom hole.

I did find this place https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Do...hings-s/85.htm that seems to carry about everything, In their selection I found one that should fit the small end of the pin, and one that I may be able to make fit using a longer drill bit. Just seems crazy that they would change things up on the last year or so of production after doing it the same way for 10 years or so!
