Default Dress Up

I've been meaning to post this for a while. So I decided to dress up the truck without getting into thousands of dollars. So on the cheap.Used rattle can paint and vinyl striping along with a few updated parts.on a 2006 1500 Ext Ca b with 150K miles.Wanted to go with a gun metal grey on my silver truck and cover any chrome.

First cleaned it up and removed the door protective panels (shopping cart bumpers).
Up on jacks, remove wheels, remove fender liners, remove wheel flairs, wash undercarriage and remove rust.
Undercoating rust preventer and sound deadener under bed, body, fenders. Several cans of spray on. No more rusty look in rear fender openings.
Clean and spray coating on front fender liners and reinstall.
Remove residue from door panel protecters I removed. Buff with light rubbbing compound then polishing compound. Then wash and apply ceramic coating.
Then remove and replace door and tail gate handles with some Doorman replacements. Old ones were badly faded.
Paint side view mirrors with a matte black finish.
Paint front and rear bumper chrome with a matte black finish.
Paint fender flares with gun metal paint and reinstall.
Remove front grill and tape and paint the chrome plating part and chevy logo gun metal grey.
2 - 10' rolls of gun metal grey vinyl for striping. For use on exterior body, wheels.
Cut up vinyl sheets to make a 6" and 1/2" set of stripes to go from front to rear bumper, including roof. Then tape guide marks and install stripes.
Cut up vinyl sheets to make a 6" stripes to go down the side of the body to cover where door protectors used to be.
Cut up vinyl to make wheel centers and stripes on the spokes. Also made little strips to fill in Chevy logo on the center caps. Mount wheels.
Install new Z71 logos in gun metal grey.
Install new Silverado logos on side lip of hood like the newer trucks have. Matte black, raised.
Replace headlamp and turn signal assemblies with new ones off Amazon. Cheap boot look good and work fine.
Install a splash guard across nose of hood.
Install new vinyl bed cover and side rails.
Other minor stuff I forgot either from being too old, too tired, or too much bourbon.
The cost of all the parts and paints and bourbon was under $1K.
