Drove fine for 3 miles, Died at stop sign and restarted then ran horribly
Hey, so I have a 2004 4.8 L silverado. I live in North Dakota and its the middle of winter here, The other day it was negative 27 outside and I went to start my truck, It cranked but no start. So I then plug it in for two hours then try to start again, battery is dead. It is then put in heated shop because the hood latch was frozen and I couldnt get to the battery. Flash forward to today, I take it out of the shop to run to get fuel and everything seemed great, battery had been tested and showed that it was fine. It made it 3 miles then I hit the brakes to stop at the stop sign and it dies. I restart and it ran like crap then died. My father drove it home but had to keep it revved up or else it would die, idled horribly and really low, Its my daily so any help would be appreciated. My first chevy so I have no clue whats going on.
Evenif the check engine light is not on, you need to retrieve the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the OBDII system. You also should check to see what the fuel pump pressure is using a fuel injection system pressure test gauge.
