Engine died while driving...
Thanks, in advance, for any help or ideas on this. Can't afford to take it to a shop right now.
Coming home from work and the engine suddenly died. No check engine light. No catastrophic noises or anything like that. The engine turns over but will not start. Towed home and put a code reader on it but it did not show anything. Replaced the crank shaft position sensor and a fuel pressure check. Fuel pressure up to 50 but bled down to 30 within a minute or so of being shut off. Still will not start. Haven't put starting fluid down the manifold, but I guess that the next step. Any ideas of where to go from here? I have a tendency to start replacing parts, ***** nilly, and can't afford to do that. I have a Haynes manual and am pretty mechanical. Thanks again for any advice.

Wanted to update this thread. After a ton of head scratching, I decided to take it in to my mechanic. Turns out the electronic ignition control module was bad. Replaced and truck now runs great.
Kind regards,
