Default Ground for instrument panel

My 03 Silverado 1500 instrument panel is occasionally dead, but not all of the time. I believe it must be a ground wire. (At least I'm hoping!) So where is the ground wire to the panel.... Thanks.

Probably in the connector. If you can, (my suggestion) pull the connectors apart, and with di-electric electrical cleaner, spry the contacts on the connection points

In our suburban I tapped into the ground wires for the cluster and grounded it to metal behind the cluster. Iirc, there were 2 ground wires for it, and I ran better grounds for both.
