Default Higher stall torque converter disaster.

Hi im having a big problem trying to fig out what went wrong with my transmission. I have a 03 Silverado 1500 z71 im getting it cammed.anyways i put a cheap 2500 stall converter in it and first day it drove great by the end of that day i took off from a stop and when it shift to second all i herd was a bunch racket .and tranny wouldnt do nothing so i ordered a hays 3200 stall racing converter and still nothing after i installed it.so i put the stock converter in and still nothing .i made sure the converter is seated properly too. Transmission is only 1 year old bought it new from autozone. And another thing my fluid is way full on my dipstick and i drained 4 quarts out of it how would it read higher with way less fluid .maby the pump when out i dont know .im super tired of pulling this tranny out i need help please

This sounds more like internal transmission failure or a rear diff that’s shot.

Did you find any large metallic or black/brown colored particles in the fluid after the first time you changed the TC?

Have you gotten any transmission DTC’s besides a P0700?

Try getting it on a hill - will it roll in park in 2wd? If you can’t get it on a hill, hook a chain or tow strap to it and SLOWLY pull on it with another truck to see if it will roll. If it rolls in 2wd at all, shift to 4wd (hi or low) and see if it still rolls. If yes, it could be the transmission or tansfer case. If no, it’s probably the rear diff - pull cover for inspection.
