Default Long travel Brake Pedal

OK, I Looked, My 2002 Silverado 1500 4x4 5.3l. has a lot of travel in the Brake Pedal. New Rotors, Calipers, and all new fluid have not remedied this.
I have searched other forums and all I see is have the ABS Bled out... is that a "thing"? I know how to Bleed Brakes... but not the ABS system. Truck still stops... Even with My 4k pound boat and trailer, the trailer does have surge brakes. just a little scary sometimes pushing that pedal.... doesn't seem like it's gonna stop!
Thanks for any info anyone can provide!

rear disc or rear drum? did this problem start after service?
does the pedal pump up?
scan tool required for an abs bleed. cost would be 1hour labour

Hello Tech2,
Yes rear Disc, Yes, Pedal pumps up. No, Truck has always had a very long travel Pedal.
Is this something that can be done by me? or do I need to bring it to a brake shop?
Thanks For your Reply!

if the pedal pumps up...its air in the system. if you have manually bled it and still have problems; an abs system bleed will help. scan tool required. any shop should be able to do this
