Default my 1998 chevy

i have a 1998 chevy c 1500 2wd and i am putting a built 1991 350 block in it.

the truck has a m30 or also called a 4l60e trans, i wanted to know if it is possible to make the 4l60e compatible with the 350 or if i need a 700r4 instead?

If it had a 4.3 V6 in it then it should bolt right up. its a matter of whether the trans can hold up to the abuse of the motor. also might need to look into whether or not you need a different torque converter. i do know that a V6 and V8 have the same trans mounts on the back of the block and it will align properly. hope this helps =\

you can use the 4l60e trans but depening on how big you are going to build your 350 you may need a stall convertre.

I have a 98 silverado 4x4 with a 5.7 l vortec engine and 4l60e transmission. The 5.7 is the same asthe 350. The transmission bolts right up and works fine
