Default Need rear end info or help.

I’ve got a 2000 Silverado that I’m building for my daughter. How can I find or a easy way to find out if 2, or 4x4 has posi traction rear end??

The differential cover usually has a bolt on tag ID'ng the type diff and the gear ration. Jack both wheels off the ground with tranny/transfer in neutral turn one wheel by hand, if the other turns the same direction you have a Posi.

I found one I believe with G80 code, in glove box tag. I was told G80 always posi. Just gotta get it out n figure out gear or see if tag on rear end.
I’ve got pics of that tag and a towing tag. I don’t know how to add pics on here. Be pain typing out every code lol
I can do it tho. I’m assuming 3.73. Being 2 wheel drive with towing package.
