Default New to Chevy! Can my 2500 pull 5th wheel?

Trying to pull this trailer

1999 K2500, 4x4 7.4l 454 engine gas. GVWR around 8500lbs. No overdrive. Trailer brake controller. Trying to find out if it will pull the 5th wheel above. Thanks in advance!

With this truck. 1999 Chevy Silv 2500 4x4 7.4l V8 454 big block

That truck shouldn’t have any issues pulling that 5th wheel, however, I strongly recommend you make sure the frame is in good condition.

The frame under the bed is known to trap water and dirt and if it’s been in the rust belt it’s a also been trapping road brine which absolutely deteriorates steel.
