So this is my new to me silverado, I am in love with this truck it reminds me of the 2000 z71 silverado my dad had before he passed in 2015. I bought it with a salvage title and the seller didn't know alot about the truck. I wanted to know more about what was inside the truck so I decoded the vin.
I was looking for answers to what the "sport" meant and maybe why the vortec labeling on my motor was orange instead of the traditional white? What I found out didn't help me much the stock motor was an LM7 5.3L V8 but nothing about the different markings or "sport" so can any one help me out I googled the stock motor and it doesn't have the orange vortec like mine does. Does that mean anything? Help a noob out the truck drives and shifts great no leaks and for the most part only has cosmetic issues and 146k miles. I can get better pictures later when I am back home.
