My hood on the passenger side closest to the windshield is higher than the drivers side. At one point the oil cap was left on the cowl cover when the hood was shut on it. It hasn't lined up properly since. Any ideas on how to correct it?

 

Had a friend do the same thing and he just closed the hood and then sat on that part that sticks up. He even bounced on it to get it down.
