Default No fuel pressure

Hello I just replaced the fuel pump and pressure regulator and replaced the ground wire from the pump wiring harness to the frame. You can hear the pump priming but I have no pressure at the rail. Can anybody help with this problem? Any help would be extremely appreciated. 99 chevy silverado 5.3l

While having someone crank the engine for you, loosen one of the fittings on the fuel filter and see if you have any fuel flow. If no flow, then unhook the appropriate line on fuel pump, apply power and see if you have fuel flow there.

Are you sure you refilled the gas tank after installing the new pump?

Problem has been solved. I found the end of the ground wire for the harness was chewed up and holding on by 3 strands. Got it replaced and good

On the 1999-2006 year 1500-2500, fill size SUV's(ive got 1999 through 2006 silverado tahoe and suburbans.. hah!) The ground wire you seek should be on the first body mount, just past where the trucks bed starts. Should be a 10mm, the ground for the fuel pump and I beleive the ground heading further back to the tail lights are on a GM trademark ****e wire crimp connector. Sand all the way to shiny metal under the bolt. Use brand new crimp connectors, hear shrink, new bolt just to be sure, then spray your chosen brand of bedliner or rust converter paint over top.

Fun extra fact, there is a similar ground on the A pillar body mount. This one is notorious for frickin and frackin with your gauges and the ABS unit. Same spiel, remove, cut corroded wire far enough back to get to good wire, recrimp, rebolt, spray protective paint or bedliner goo of choice.

I only had to fix my vehicles once, but I do live in Florida, so I'm basically cheating. Haha.
I can vouch personally, this website will charge ya, but youll have interactive wiring diagrams detailed with pinouts.
Id suggest paying for the longest term service if you are gonna own the vehicle for a long time. Otherwise, its about 20 bucks for 30 days, if you only want to diag a bitch of a wire issue.

Go forth and hotrod!
Go fifth and do a burnout.. haha

Hope this helps man.
